Six checks before an AI lesson draft reaches students
The Six-Gate AI Lesson Draft Quick Check is a free, two-page A4 checklist for educators reviewing AI-assisted lesson materials. Use it on one lesson draft, mark each gate Pass, Revise, or Teacher verification required, and stop at the first blocking issue.
The checklist makes unresolved decisions visible before classroom use. It supports professional review without claiming to certify a lesson or guarantee a result, and it can be used with any AI tool—or with no AI tool at all.
What the six gates review
- Purpose — Is the learning result observable, appropriately demanding, and suitable for the intended learners?
- Evidence — Do student work, activities, assessment items, and answer guidance demonstrate the same goal?
- Sources — Can factual claims be traced to approved original sources that have been opened and checked?
- Classroom operation — Do timing, transitions, materials, teacher actions, student actions, and backup plans work in practice?
- Access and safety — Have instructions, exported files, privacy, safeguarding, local policy, and asset permissions received the appropriate review?
- Final release — Do goals, terminology, questions, answers, sources, timing, and versions agree across every file?
