A chapter of a life, made into a book.
Signature Story is for a move, relationship, career or other part of a life that needs more than one conversation. Across up to four hours of interviews, you tell the story in your own words. I plan the chapters, write the manuscript, prepare the photographs and captions, and design the cover and pages.
For US$750, you receive an 8,000–12,000-word story across 60–80 full-colour pages, using up to 30 photographs. The price includes two rounds of changes, a reading PDF, a print-ready PDF, an ePub, an editable DOCX and one clothbound hardcover with a full-colour interior.
I check names and dates with you and proofread the final pages. You choose the cloth, foil and endpaper from the included range, and you approve every page before the book is printed. The project usually takes six to eight weeks after the interviews and materials are complete.
The price covers one main storyteller. Interviews and review can take place in your preferred language; one final book language is included. A bilingual edition, extra storytellers, research, translation, major photo repair, extra interviews or revisions, and additional copies are quoted before the extra work begins.
Shipping, duties and taxes are separate. They are confirmed once the destination and final book are known.
